{"id":255,"date":"2020-04-12T10:20:39","date_gmt":"2020-04-12T08:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.100.60\/?page_id=255"},"modified":"2020-06-20T09:26:19","modified_gmt":"2020-06-20T07:26:19","slug":"enchilada-sauce","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ericscookbook.com\/index.php\/recipes\/enchilada-sauce\/","title":{"rendered":"Enchilada Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yield: 500 ml<br>Time: 15 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tbsp vegetable oil<br>2 tbsp all-purpose flour<br>3 tbsp chili powder<br>500 ml chicken broth (low sodium)<br>\u00bd tsp salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat oil in a sauce pan over medium heat.\u00a0 Add the flour and\u00a0whisk until thoroughly integrated and allow to simmer for a minute.\u00a0 Add chili powder and salt and whisk until fully incorporated.\u00a0 While whisking, slowly add chicken broth until fully mixed and no lumps are visible.\u00a0 Continue simmering for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.\u00a0 Remove from heat and allow to cool.\u00a0 If storing, place plastic wrap directly on surface of sauce to prevent skin from forming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chef\u2019s Notes:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChili powder\u201d is a blend of ground chiles (usually Ancho), plus other spices (e.g. cumin, granulated garlic, oregano and salt).
